About
NeighborWorks® Resource Group (formerly Neighborhood Housing Services of Richmond), a private, non-profit corporation, was created 25 years ago. It grew from local community concern of increasing urban blight, decreasing quality, affordable housing and shrinking opportunities for economic self-sufficiency.
NeighborWorks® Resource Group, as modeled after its philosophical parent company, Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation (NRC), developed a Community Partnership. At the heart of this partnership, are area residents, business leaders, and government officials comprising our Board of Directors and committees serving to develop strategies and to channel the resources that are needed for our neighborhoods.
Utilizing our core values, we at NeighborWorks® Resource Group are dedicated to addressing the issues that faced Richmond’s more economically challenged neighborhoods. It is the goal of NeighborWorks® Resource Group to provide the mechanisms whereby neighborhoods become stable, self-sustaining areas, that maintain long-term residents and attract new households.
